Smile Video is a program developed to assist korean video rental businesses operating in USA.
It is extremely easy to use and amazingly efficient. A new employee can learn how to use it in just 10-20 minutes.
Everything you need for renting and returning tapes is in one main window. You get the whole picture of customer, tape, and rental status in one simple look.
The best of all, Smile Video prints out sharp, clean, barcoded video labels in the background, so you can still deal with customers while printing.
In the latest version 5, user can set price category for each tape. Each price category consists of price, rental period, and late fee.
Customers can be easily and quickly searched by member ID, name, phone number, or last 4 digit of phone number.
Returning tapes are returned without the need for finding customer. This means a casher can pile up the returning tapes during busy time and return the tapes when he or she is free of customers.
Smile Video can be run in Windows 3.X, Windows95, and Win98. With any Hangul Softwares(Hanme, UWDBM, NJWIN, or Hangul Windows).
The program is fully network compatible. Databases can be shared over the peer-to-peer windows workgroup.
Smile Video has been successfully used for small libraries in churches and schools, where Korean books are rented.

Important note on date settings: For proper calculations of date differences, you need to set the control panel->regional settings->date->short date->date style to "yy-mm-dd" and the separator to "-".
